CORE Program

Growing confident humans through the joy of dance.

Our CORE Program is the heart of Pemberton Dance Studio — a full-season program offering consistent, progressive training in a welcoming environment where every child can build strong foundations while growing in confidence, creativity and self-expression.

About CORE

More than steps, a foundation for life.

Every child arrives with different strengths, different challenges and a different story. Our role is not to fit dancers into one mould, but to meet them where they are and help them grow from there.

Through thoughtful, progressive training, children discover what consistent effort can achieve not just in dance, but in themselves.

Jazz

Jazz dance is taught to the music of today layering jazz style over traditional ballet technique. Students develop flexibility, strength and coordination through warm-up, centre exercises and across the floor progressions.

Following the Acrobatic Arts syllabus, students focus on flexibility and conditioning to build strength, balance, muscle control and concentration to execute acrobatic tricks appropriate to their level. Additional ballet and jazz are recommended.

Costume program

Beautiful, thoughtful, sustainable.

At Pemberton Dance Studio, costume costs are included as part of your child's full-season tuition. Rather than charging a separate costume fee, the cost for each enrolled class is built into our 10 equal monthly tuition payments throughout the dance season.

Every class is featured in our year-end recital with its own choreography and costume. To support this, a costume contribution is included for each enrolled class. Multi-class discounts do not apply to costume contributions.

We believe beautiful performances can also be thoughtful and sustainable. Each year, we carefully reuse, refresh and repurpose our costume collection by altering and updating existing pieces to suit each class and production — creating a polished stage experience while reducing waste and keeping costs predictable for families.

All recital costumes are provided on a loan basis and remain the property of Pemberton Dance Studio. Costumes must be returned to the studio by the requested deadline following the recital so they can be cleaned, repaired and prepared for future productions.

Your costume contribution helps support costume selection, alterations, cleaning, repairs, accessories and the ongoing care of our costume collection, ensuring every dancer has a beautiful costume to wear on stage each season.

Costume costs are included in your full-season tuition, spread across 10 equal monthly payments.
